About EDG Grant with The Brand Theatre

This year until 31 March 2023, the funding cap is up to 80% for Food Services and Retail Sector, while the rest of the sectors can get up to 70%. As Enterprise so aptly says, it’s time to invest in new capabilities and seize new opportunities.

FAQ About The Enterprise Development Grant for Singapore Businesses​

The EDG is a government-funded project that provides companies with tools to succeed, mainly through robust business foundations, access to technology and innovations, and international expansion.

Financially healthy Singaporean SMEs with a minimum of 30% local shareholding are eligible to apply for the EDG.

There are no required compulsory application fees for applications made directly to ES. However, you have a better chance of getting approved with an Enterprise Development Grant consultant with extensive experience with the process.

 

Your organisation should entrust your application with an Enterprise Development Grant consultant with solid credentials, diverse clientele across different industries, and extensive experience in grant applications. This would increase your chances of getting approval.

Your company should be registered and operating in Singapore with a minimum of 30% local shareholding and be financially healthy. For more information, you can message us to schedule a consultation session.

The total waiting time usually takes 3 to 4 months. You can expect Enterprise Singapore to revert to you 8 to 12 weeks after submitting your application. But due to the influx of submissions in the first quarter of this year, there might be a slightly longer processing time.

You can receive up to 80% financial support if your company is in the F&B and retail industry. Meanwhile, other enterprises from other sectors can receive up to 70% support. Grant applications will be assessed on Group Revenue and Group Employment Size.

Your company should submit the following documents:

  • *Audited financial statements or certified management accounts for the last FY of your company and consolidated financial statements of your ultimate parent company,
  • *A project proposal
  • *Relevant proof of quotation for the cost of your project items

There is no processing fee to apply for EDG.

Yes, you can submit a new application if rejected. You should fill in the necessary gaps, and ES will recognize it as a new application.

In theory, there are no limits on how many EDG you can apply for. For now, you can apply and work on one or more projects simultaneously. However, EDG doesn’t allow enterprises to apply for the same specified area more than once at a time.

If your company is in the F&B or retail industry, you can secure up to 80% funding. Meanwhile, other sectors can receive up to 70% of the budget. Grant applications will be assessed on Group Revenue and Group Employment Size.

Most of the projects funded by the EDG should be completed within 12 to 18 months upon successful grant application. It is advised to finish all projects within the projected timeline for all efforts to remain relevant.

Yes, you may reapply if your application is rejected.
